Dry ice is pure carbon dioxide (CO2) in solid form. Its name is due to the fact that it has certain similarities with normal ice, but when it sublimates (passes directly from a solid state to gas), it does not leave residues of moisture. Dry ice sublimates at -109 degrees F.

Dry Ice, the most concentrated form of cold readily available, is supplied in block or pellet form. Dry Ice has approximately double the refrigeration capacity of water ice by weight. It’s colder, leaves no mess, lasts longer and is the ideal portable refrigeration for coolers, car fridges and ice boxes.

COMMERCIAL USES

Dry ice is used in:

* Food transport - Dry ice can be used for to ship ice cream, home delivery groceries, safely pack fresh baked goods, and more.

R3000 Block/Reformer Systems

The amazing new R3000 Pellet to Slice Reformer provides superior slice production in a minimal footprint. Cold Jet's R3000 Pellet-to-Slice Reformer is fully automated, with the flexibility to reform 3mm to 16mm dry ice pellets (or nuggets) into 125 x 210 x 25 to 50 mm slices. The pellet-to-slice reforming process eliminates hazards from cutting block and reduces CO2 sublimation loss by ~80%, while producing less CO2 "smoke."

Automatic pellet production capability of up to 1200 lbs (545.5) of dry ice per hour. Choice of 3 mm high-density pellets, and 6 mm, 9 mm, 13 mm, 16 mm or 19 mm nuggets.

P3000

Automatic pellet production capability of up to 2400 lbs (1090.9 kg) of dry ice per hour. Choice of 3 mm high-density pellets, and 6 mm, 9 mm, 13 mm, 16 mm or 19 mm nuggets.

Dry Ice Pellets

Sutton Garten has provided dry ice solutions for over 10 years. Ice is produced daily at our production facility in Indianapolis, IN and delivered throughout the midwest. Ice is produced dailty to order and is always fresh and gives the best performance in all applications.

For small quantities, ice may be supplied at our facility in boxes, or put in customers insulated coolers. We can also ship in insulated boxes, or for larger quantities, dry ice is supplied in large tubs that hold between 500 and 750 pounds.

DRY ICE PELLETS

This form of dry ice is used in dry ice blasting applications and is also ideal for smaller-scale needs. For example, universities often use dry ice pellets in experiments or for small-scale storage. Dry ice pellets are also used to make mist effects for entertainment purposes. Additionally, dry ice pellets are often used by commercial businesses for small-scale or one off storage or delivery purposes. Pellets are available loose or bagged and in diameters of 2mm, 3mm and 16mm.

DRY ICE BLOCKS

Are generally used for freeze branding, industrial usage, shipping or specialised smoke machines. – Due to their size, dry ice blocks will last longer than a similar amount of slices or pellets. This makes blocks ideal for long-lasting shipping or storage. Available in the following dimensions;
Quarter cut ( 5" x 5" x 10" ) and Full Block (10" x 10" x 10").

DRY ICE SLICES

Are often used in the storage and/or transportation of perishable goods such as food or medical supplies. Each slice is individually baggedfor ease of use and to reduce sublimation levels. High density, long lasting dry ice slices, customised for the airline and pharma industry. Rectangular and square solid pieces of dry ice, available in following dimensions; ( 10" x 10" x 2" ).
